Fantastic traditional seaside hotel. Refurbished a few years ago and retains its comfortable homely feel, with a "proper" lounge. Location is 5-10 minutes stroll from the front, which is an advantage as it's quiet and secluded. Metres away from "The Byes" which is a long park running next to the river Sid and offers picturesque walks pretty much as far as you want to go.
7 night stay. I felt welcome at this beautiful hotel from the minute I stepped inside. Staff were friendly, helpful, courteous and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Room and en suite bathroom were spotless, bed linen and towels were clean and fresh and the bed was extremely comfortable. Food was delicious; different menu every evening with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day. I look forward to staying here again.
Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds with a garden & a decent lawn & garden. Plenty of free parking available. The service & breakfast are excellent, friendly owners, location is only a few minutes from the main town on foot, plus the hotel it's self is in a quiet location close to a public park.
Stopped for a Saturday night. A proper miserable rainy day. The hotel was very welcoming and in a good position. The room was nice with a decent bathroom and a good sized bed. The waiting staff in the morning were excellent as was the breakfast.

Lovely hotel in a lovely area very near the beach and shops. The staff are really friendly and the food is 1st class. Stayed for five nights, and I definitely recommend.
What wonderful place to stay, the assistant manager couldn't do enough for us. We arrived late and tired just as the kitchen closed and were going to go to the pub, but she spoke to the chef and he said no it is raining, and he could do a simple fish and chips, and even helped us up the stairs with our suitcases. Our dietary requirements were not a problem at all. We highly recommend a stay here, it's quiet, relaxing, very clean and a short walk to everything and the meals outstanding. I have added a picture of the simple fish and chips.
Smallish rooms but well appointed and big enough. Bottles of water and hot drink facilities in the rooms topped up daily. We only stayed 4 nights B & B but the breakfast menu is excellent. A very good location for both Sidmouth and buses to the nearby towns. Helpful, attentive staff. The Patio and garden are good for sitting outside on fine days.
